Level 2 helps children move from basic language exposure into stronger conversational ability.

By this stage, children are already familiar with core vocabulary and basic phrases. Level 2 expands those skills through guided lessons that encourage longer responses, more interaction, and deeper language understanding.

This homeschool language curriculum focuses on helping families build consistent language use through natural conversation.

With Level 2, students begin to:

  • Speak in longer and more complete sentences
  • Strengthen listening and comprehension skills
  • Expand vocabulary used in everyday conversation
  • Build confidence speaking the language with family members
  • Continue progressing through structured homeschool language lessons

Language learning becomes more powerful when it builds over time.

Level 2 allows families to continue developing the speaking habits started in Level 1 while expanding vocabulary, comprehension, and conversational ability.

For homeschool families committed to language learning, Level 2 provides the structure needed to keep that progress moving forward.

Homeschool Languages Level 2 provides a complete set of structured lessons designed to continue the language learning journey started in Level 1.

Take their language beyond your home.

Level 1 built the habit—now it expands outward.

Playful practice that actually builds skill

Still fun. Still scripted. Just more powerful.

Confidence in the real world

Not just “knowing”—actually using the language outside your home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Our program is designed for families, so one purchase covers all your children—no extra fees per student, and it can be reused with younger siblings.

By the end of Level 1, your student will be able to communicate clearly, politely, and confidently in everyday situations, building a strong foundation for continued language growth.
Here's a simplified overview of what your student will confidently learn in our Level 1 Curriculum:

Greetings and Basic Conversation:

  • Say hello and goodbye at different times of the day
  • Respond with "yes" or "no"
  • Ask and answer, "How are you?"
  • Share how they're feeling, including hungry and thirsty
  • Politely request things and express gratitude (please, thank you, you're welcome)
  • Clearly express wants and feelings
  • Ask "how many?" and respond appropriately
  • "Ordering" food (saying what they want and how much)

Daily Routines and Needs:

  • Say and understand clothing items
  • Follow simple daily commands
  • Ask and answer "Where are you going?", different locations, and express wanting to come along
  • Clearly express and understand needs and tasks that need to be done
  • Ask for and provide locations of objects

Home and Basic Grammar:

  • Name common household items
  • Understand and use family-friendly verbs ("I want, I need, I have, I must")
  • Conjugate and use gerunds (-ing verbs)
  • Identify common uses of the verb "to do"
  • Understand simple instructions involving order and sequence

Mealtime Conversations:

  • Ask for and pass food items politely
  • Name meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert)
  • Set the table and name utensils and dishes
  • Use phrases to express preferences and routines ("It's time to eat," "It's time to go," etc.)
  • Begin recognizing different ways to express actions and activities

Bottom line? If other methods didn’t work, it’s not because your child “isn’t good at languages”—it’s because those methods didn’t show them how to actually use it. This one does.
We create mock real-life situations where your child plays with the language with YOU, so when those situations come up in daily life, the words are already muscle memory (you’ll be amazed when They bring it up first!).

To make speaking feel even more natural, the included puppet is scripted into the lessons—giving kids a fun, pressure-free way to respond without feeling put on the spot.
Here’s how it works:

  • First, we introduce new words or phrases—no overwhelming “sink or swim” approach.
  • Then, we show them how to use it in context. (Sometimes with the language's culture involved!)
  • Next, they explore and play with the language in a safe, low-pressure setting (mistakes are encouraged!).
  • Finally, the magic happens—these words naturally transition into your daily life, making the new language an exciting part of their world.

Homeschool Languages is geared toward kids ages 4-10! Ask about it in our Facebook group though, a lot of families report their tag-along younger children picking up on the language, as well as older teens loving it because there's a strong foundation of the language involved.

Nope! Everything is included in the physical set. You don’t need extra apps, flashcards, library books or workbooks—just open and start. If you're getting the digital version, besides a printer, scissors, and ideally a laminator for the flashcards, you should have everything else around your home. (Including a stuffed animal in lieu of the puppet!)

This full year curriculum has 88 lessons, and they are both short and flexible—just 15-30 minutes each. We made them as low commitment as possible, so that both you AND the student are left on a high, anxious for the next lesson! You can do them as often as works for your family, but we recommend 2-3 times a week to build consistency. Some families do a quick lesson daily, while others spread them out and reinforce the phrases naturally throughout the week. The key isn’t doing a lot at once—it’s making the language part of daily life. Since the lessons guide you to use real phrases in everyday situations, you’ll start noticing your child using Spanish outside of lesson time, which is when the real progress happens!

The physical and digital curriculum include the same content—the only difference is how you receive it! Both include all core materials—audio tools, 88 fully-scripted lessons, games (like the boards and spinners!), flashcards, and 17 mini-books. The digital version is a PDF you can print, laminate, and cut, while the physical version comes printed and ready to go, plus extras like a puppet, globe, dice, and pawns to save prep time. Some families choose both—to have a backup for travel or in case a piece goes missing (thanks, toddlers!).

Homeschool Languages was built with families in mind for a home setting. It was designed specifically for homeschool use, not for a traditional classroom or group-learning environment, so we don’t generally recommend it for that purpose. That said, we do offer a teacher license for those who would still like to use it in a classroom, co-op, or similar setting. We just want to be transparent that the curriculum was created for home use and may require a bit of adaptation for group instruction.

Nope! Our lessons are scripted and guide you word-for-word, so you learn alongside your kids—no prior experience needed. We suggest you prepare for your lesson by reading through it once and listening to the audio pronunciation guide that goes through each foreign word in that lesson. Then the script will carry you through the lesson! You can always refer to the margin if you forget what something means or how to say it ;)
